Plantworx – Uk’s Biennial Event for Construction Equipment Industry Coming Up

Plantworx UKPlantworx is the UK’s biennial event for the construction equipment and services industry promoted by the Construction Equipment Association (CEA) will be held this June featuring live construction applications and working machinery – a huge product showcase for all construction manufacturers and suppliers with a chance for visitors to operate and exhibitors to demonstrate.

The year’s Plantworx event is the third and is expected to bring some 15,000 visitors over the three days. With 386 exhibitors confirmed, some 160 of which are exhibiting for the first time, it looks set to be a highly successful event.

The event will see the latest plant and machinery operate in ‘real’ site conditions, with a number of well-known brands such as Caterpillar, JCB, Volvo, Takeuchi, Kubota, Case Construction Equipment, BOMAG, and Terex in attendance.

Delegates will have the opportunity to try kit first hand (if they have the correct operator’s licence) on one of the demonstration areas.

UK Plant Operators, Leica Geo-Systems, and Construction IT Alliance (CITA) have also teamed up and will stage a machine control simulator competition to highlight technology in construction. Delegates can enter individually or in a team.

Meanwhile, Highways England – Construction Plant Community will focus on promoting careers in construction. Paul Whitehead who leads Highways England’s Plant Community Group said that  growing their own talent will play a vital part in shaping Highways England and developing a high performing organisation.

As a Government Company with capital funding certainty over five years, their supply chain has the confidence to invest in the people to make them capable of delivering what is a huge amount of work.

This year’s event will also bring in ‘The Hub’—a WiFi hotspot and innovation zone. This will be located at the heart of the show and will enable delegates to catch up on emails.

Colin Evison, head of innovation at Bam Nuttall said that Plantworx presents contractors with a vast array of the latest construction plant and equipment on display and being demonstrated all in one place. It enables them to keep up to date on the very latest additions to the construction industry so that they may continually improve the way they deliver and maintain infrastructure.

With the widest choice of brands it is an opportunity to catch up with a range of new and existing manufacturers and services all at one dedicated event.

Visitors to Plantworx come from all types of construction sectors; plant and tool hire, civil engineering, groundworks, contractors, utilities, highways, demolition to name just a few of the sectors. A live demonstration event Plantworx is designed for everybody involved with purchasing and operating construction equipment.

Plantworx target audience includes; plant managers, plant and tool hire managers, construction managers, contractors, machine operators, owner operators, machine specifiers and construction professionals.

Plantworx is designed to provide the best in new construction equipment alongside live machine and tool demonstrations.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 June at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Leicestershire, has nearly sold out, with only a few stands remaining.
