Concrete Show India (CSI) 2018 was a grand success as it shows big names from all over the infrastructure and construction industry like Godrej, J K Cement, Putzmeister Concrete Machines etc. The three-day show was hosted by UBM India and on the day one while inauguration big names like S. K. Gupta, Director Projects, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.; S M Ramchandani, Retd Jt MD, MSRDC; Thiruman Archunan, Director Projects, Kochi Metro Rail Ltd.; Jogen Holst, Director EPTISA Consulting Engineers and Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM were present.
The Concrete Show India covered key areas including roads and highways, housing, airports, ports, power, rail, tunnels, dams and bridges. It brought together over 150 Indian and global suppliers and manufacturers from industries including Concrete and Construction, Concrete Equipment’s, Construction Chemical, Commercial and Industrial flooring, Automation, Software (ERP, Project management, & Design) and mobile Construction tools and Instruments all under one roof.
Santosh Rai – Head of transport business, HCC said, “This is a good platform to showcase the recent technology and recent development in the infrastructure and construction industry. These technologies can help the industry to develop the infrastructure at a faster phase and concrete is going to play an important role developing of dams, roads, metro be it anything. This product is available in limited stock so we really have to think of it and maximize its usage in a better way and this show helped us in this understanding.

Hence, the importance of such show increases where likeminded people can meet and find solutions to such problems in a positive way. “
The expo this year saw a variety of engagement platforms including the Innovation Zone, Student Incubation Cell, Demonstration Areas, Start-up Zones, Business to Business and Business to Government and Experience Zones that enabled a strong interaction and participation from all stakeholders in the industry.
The expo was well received by the industry at large with support from Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), Indian Chapter of American Concrete Institute (ICACI), Singapore Concrete Institute (SCI), Tunnelling Association of India (TAI), US-India Importers’ Council (USIIC) and Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRC).
