BKT Showcases its Advanced Agricultural Tire Portfolio
BKT showcases its Advanced Agricultural Tire Portfolio at Agri-Intex Coimbatore
Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT), one of the leading off-highway and tractor tire manufacturers in India, made an impressive display at the 19th edition of Agri-Intex, a renowned exhibition that showcased contemporary agriculture, horticulture, dairy farming and food processing technologies along with their best practices. It was held from July 12th to 15th at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. The exhibition attracted more than 60,000 visitors from Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Karnataka with more than 400 companies related to agriculture displaying their product range.
Mr Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) said: “BKT as India’s reliable tire manufacturers strive hard to help the farmers community with the latest upgraded and versatile agricultural tire portfolio. Participating at Agri Intex exhibition gives us the platform to engage with farmers in Tamil Nadu and understand their challenges locally and address them in the most effective ways. We believe technology will significantly contribute to the agricultural sector and help increase their output.”
BKT participated for the fourth time at Agri Intex and displayed 21 key agriculture tires and its range of motorcycle tires at the fair. With a booth size of 112 sq. metres, the entire range of tires was displayed in order to attract the farmers. The key attraction was the 12.4-28 size of puddle special tire, which has been specially developed for use in the paddy fields without changing the rim size. This tire fits on the standard rim size and was thus lauded by all the visiting farmers. This tire comes with a 6-year warranty and was the centre of attraction at the BKT booth. Paddy is the most popular crop in Tamil Nadu and BKT developed this tire looking specifically into the requirement of paddy growing farmers in the state.
Other tires which were highlighted at the show were BKT Commander series (front and rear) and Radial Tire. Total footfall at the BKT booth exceeded 7,500 visitors during the four-day event. As a part of their outreach activity, BKT distributed various giveaways such as caps, handbags, keychains, pens and hand fans which were a rage among the visitors. This resulted in a large number of enquiries by prospective customers and dealerships during the exhibition.
