Congress Pushes Back on Biden’s $2 Trillion Infrastructure Plan


President Joe Biden wants to boost the American economy and compete with China with a $2.25 trillion infrastructure and public works package.

He announced the first part of his plan in March just three weeks after signing a massive $1.9 trillion pandemic-relief bill into law without a single Republican vote, while ignoring conservative complaints of overspending.

The package calls for investing in a wide variety of projects, from traditional spending on roads and bridges, to funds aimed at improving care for the elderly and people with disabilities.
