The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs 2170 cr across various segments. Its current order book stands at Rs 262,900 cr, As per news records. L&T is India’s one of the largest engineering and construction companies. It derived major revenue from infrastructure (44%) followed by hydrocarbon (11%). Further, it generated 34% revenue from international in FY17. Construction Arm of Gets Orders of Rs 2,170 Cr.
Company’s Water and Effluent Treatment business has bagged an order worth Rs 1,547 cr for a major reservoir which involves formation of an earth bund of length 4.3 km with 55 m height at its maximum with all associated works. Its Power and Distribution Business has bagged orders of Rs 623 cr. A major order has been secured from Power Grid Corporation for the supply and execution of +320KV Pugalur – Trichur HVDC line. This line is crucial element of the Pugalur Trichur 2 x 1000MW VSC based HVDC system forming a part of the HVDC link between western and southern regions of India, as per records.
The order has been bagged from Eastern Power Distribution Company of A.P Limited for providing underground cable works in Visakhapatnam. Its purpose is modernizing the power system network connecting seven 33/11KV substations in the zone 1 division by replacing the HT and LT overhead lines with underground power cables. We are positive on the stock on account of bright order prospects from company’s major revenue driving segments.
