Enthusiastic crowds greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Amroodon wala bagh in Jaipur, as per news reports.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reciprocated the warmth by inaugurating or laying the foundation stone for thirteen urban infrastructure projects, with a total outlay of over Rs. 2100 crore
Reports added, this includes a 2.7 km long Elevated Road Project for Ajmer under the Smart City Mission which will be completed within 2 years.
He also inaugurated a water Supply project for Ajmer under the Amrut Mission.
Another project is the Integrated Infrastructure package for walled city of Udaipur. This includes drinking water supply, sewerage and road network and underground electrification of Udaipur. It will cost Rs 537 crore.
The upgradation of STPs in Dholpur, Nagaur, Alwar and Jodhpur costing Rs 122 crore was also unveiled. The second phase of sewerage project in Sikar under the Amrut Mission, Rs 370 crore worth STP in Bhilwara , Rs 68 cr STP for Mt Abu, Gangashahar STP and Hanumangarh sewerage and water project worth Rs 281 cr have also begun.
Construction of phase 2 of the Dussehra Maidan in Kota will cost Rs 33 crore and will be completed within a year.
A Project for expansion of green cover under Amrut Mission in Nagaur, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Kishangarh and Sajangarh was also inaugurated.
Several projects under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in the districts of Bundi, Ajmer and Bikaner were also inaugurated.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his government’s commitment to ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.
Next year Rajasthan completes 70 years. Prime Minister Modi called on the people of the state and the government to reaffirm their commitment to create a developed Rajasthan, one which will play a pivotal role in the building of a New India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with farmers from across Rajasthan. Farmers from Jodhpur and Bikaner presented him Jowar and a plough. Farmers from Jaisalmer and Nagore also gifted their produce to the Prime Minister as did another group of maize farmers.
Prime Minister said that the government is committed to double the income of farmers by 2022. He also hailed the recent Cabinet decision which substantially hiked the MSP for Kharif crops.
Listing out various schemes launched for farmers, PM said that 14 crore 50 lakh soil health cards have been given to farmers which have led increase in production of crop.
PM Modi also saw an audio-visual presentation of experiences shared by 12 beneficiaries of various Central and state government schemes. He also interacted with some of them on stage. PM talked about flagship schemes PM Gram Swaraj Yojna and said that scheme is revolutionalising development around the country.
PM reiterated his government’s resolve for making the benefits of development percolate the last standing man in the queue. He said that centre is working on the philosophy of inclusive development for all.
Sharing the achievements of the Centre and Rajasthan government, Prime Minister reminded the people of the lackluster performance of the previous govt in the state and exhorted them to remember that stark difference between the working and performance of both the governments.
PM also ridiculed the opposition party, calling it the ‘Bail Gadi Party’. He subsequently defined that the meaning implying that many Congress leaders are out on bail.
The function was also addressed by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Slamming Congress, she said that during Congress regime, corruption was at its peak. She added Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a strong impetus on the use of technology to minimize leakages during funds transfer and offer benefits directly to the citizens.
