It added that the project is scheduled to be commissioned by the fourth quarter of financial year 2021-22. The entire turn-key execution for the project will be done by the US arm of the firm, Sterling and Wilson Solar Solutions, Inc (SWSS).
“With this project, our cumulative orders booked in the country now stand at about Rs 1,880 crore. With the renewed commitment by the new administration in renewable energy, that includes rejoining the Paris Climate Accord, investing $2 trillion in clean energy, and fully decarbonising the power sector by 2035, the US has huge potential,” said Amit Jain, country head, SWSS.
Sterling and Wilson Solar along with its subsidiaries has more than 10.8 GW of solar power projects commissioned and under various stages of construction globally. The company also manages a portfolio of 8.1 GW of O&M projects.
