Women Economic Forum Honours Women’s Enterprise

The recently concluded two-day conference of Women Economic Forum that took place at Dwarka, Delhi witnessed participation from an array of successful women from different walks of life such as entrepreneurs, startups and leaders. The theme for this year was “Innovating for Wealth & Wellness- at Personal and National Level”. The forum enabled all the participants to share and exchange expertise across 50 wide-ranging subjects and developing collaborations.

Recently, on the occasion, Shruti Choudhari, Vice President, B L Kashyap and Sons Limited was conferred with the prestigious WEF 17 Award of “Exceptional Women of Excellence” in recognition of inspiring change through entrepreneurial mindset and initiatives. Expressing her gratitude towards the honor, Shruti Choudhari said, “It is an honor to be part of such an August gathering of inspiring women that uplift each other with positivity and unflinching support. Thank you Dr Harbeen Arora (Chancellor Rai University) & WEF & ALL for the opportunity”

Addressing the gathering, Shruti Choudhari spoke about “Innovations by Corporates & Business”. “Every once in a while, a new technology, an old problem, and a big idea turn into an innovation.” However, what makes innovation successful? It is not about saying yes to everything; it’s all about saying NO to all but the most crucial features in relation with your core. Innovation is Disruption. Disruption is good, when you want to innovate. The only way companies can avoid Disruption today is if they were constantly doing what they did when they started the company.

Women make only around 5% of the managerial, engineering and top management of construction companies. If we can motivate even 5 women to look at construction as a career, my task is done, concluded Shruti Choudhari.

Women Economic Forum events and ALL Ladies League (ALL), the parent network, are creating an ecosystem for All women to be nurtured and find networks so that they are able to step outside in the public domain and business spaces with more confidence and widened access to resources.

Dr Harbeen Arora, Founder and Global Chairperson, ALL Ladies League (ALL) and Women Economic Forum (WEF) said: “WEF is an enabling platform where women from ALL walks of life can come and empower their skills, attitudes and networks. In the coming 12 months an additional 18 Women Economic Forum events would get organized across the world; with the purpose of giving women worldwide greater voice and visibility. Beholding women role models is vital to making women believe that we can ALL do it. This is the Century of Women and we are committed to making it so.”
